Bacteriostatic vs sterile water — why it matters
Sterile water for injection contains nothing but USP-grade water. Once the vial is breached, it must be used immediately and the rest discarded — there's no preservative to keep it sterile.
Bacteriostatic water adds 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. This inhibits bacterial growth and allows the vial to be re-entered multiple times over an approximately 28-day refrigerated window. For multi-dose research peptide reconstitution — where you'll draw from the same peptide vial over weeks — bacteriostatic water is the standard choice. Full handling procedure in our reconstitution guide.
How much to use per peptide vial
Most research protocols use 1.0 mL or 2.0 mL of bacteriostatic water per peptide vial — the choice determines the final concentration.
The same vial with 2.0 mL gives 25 mcg per unit. Choose the dilution based on your typical draw — aim for 5–30 units per draw for accuracy.

Buy Bacteriostatic Water UK — FAQ
REVIVE LAB UK supplies bacteriostatic water UK-wide. 3 mL vials in stock (15 mL currently sold out), same-day dispatch, 24h delivery, Crypto/Whop available.
Approximately 28 days under refrigeration after first puncture. The benzyl alcohol preservative loses efficacy beyond that window.
Bacteriostatic has 0.9% benzyl alcohol preservative — multi-use over 28 days. Sterile is single-use only.
Typically 1.0 mL or 2.0 mL depending on desired concentration. See our reconstitution guide for the math.
