Why this market is targeted
Research compounds are high value by weight, are bought by people who frequently cannot analyse them independently, and are often sold through channels with no accountability. The counterfeiter's advantage is that the buyer cannot check.
What fakes contain
Anything from a different compound, to the genuine compound at a fraction of the stated content, to inert filler. Underfilled vials are the hardest to detect, because everything about the material is correct except how much of it there is — which is why net peptide content is a more searching question than purity.
What a buyer can do
Confirm the batch number is identical on the vial, the box and the certificate. Verify the printed code and check that what comes back describes the box in your hand. Confirm the packaging is intact and unopened. Where any of those disagree, treat the material as unverified rather than assuming a printing error.
The honest limit
None of those checks analyses the contents. They establish that the documentation is coherent and the packaging is what it claims. Independent analysis is the only way to know what is actually in a vial, and for most buyers it is not practical — which is the whole reason the documentary controls exist.
